At Fresh Start, we aim not only to provide you with the highest level of quality, but the highest level of customer service as well. We know that good communication throughout the entire construction process is essential. For most projects, we assign a Project Manager and Lead Carpenter who are full-time Fresh Start employees. Our goal is to be fully transparent in how we do business with our open billing system — our clients have the right to options, clear explanations, and to know what is going on with their project at all times.
We carry Unrestricted Construction Supervisors’ licenses.

We collaborate with Fresh Start Contracting on a number of home remodeling projects and always enjoy working with them. Our designers feel like an extension of Fresh Start’s team when we work together, and the projects run smoothly and efficiently.
Do you handle design work?
Working with an architect, engineer, or interior designer already is a great first step to a successful project. If you are not, we would be happy to refer you to one — we cannot stress enough the importance of a good design. For List Services projects, we offer basic drawing layouts for permitting purposes.
What is your billing policy?
Transparency in our billing is a crucial part of building trust. Most of our projects are billed on a Time + Materials basis per our preset T&M Rates Sheet. Subcontractors and expenses are billed at our cost plus a flat markup, and any builder discount we receive is passed along to you. We provide a weekly invoice of all hours worked and expenses incurred.
Do you provide permitting and hire all subcontractors?
Yes — both our Custom Building and List Services divisions handle the entire permitting process for you. We carry Unrestricted Construction Supervisors’ licenses and are familiar with building departments and inspectors in many areas. We also hire all specialty subcontractors, each properly vetted and fully insured before they step foot in your house.
When can you start?
First we provide a comprehensive, detailed estimate of costs so you can review the job breakdown. Once we have the signed contract and deposit, we apply for your building permit and schedule personnel, subcontractors, and materials. A general rule of thumb for a project start date is 2–3 months from when we receive the signed contract and deposit.
